DRIVER SHAMBLE (PRO-AM TOURNAMENT FORMAT)
Objective:
Combine the best team drive with individual play, rewarding both teamwork and the professional’s guidance.
Format Overview;
- All players (1 Pro + 3 Amateurs) tee off on every hole.
- The team selects the best drive, usually from any player (Pro included).
- From that spot, each player plays their own ball until it’s holed.
Note:
Each Amateur MUST contribute a minimum of 3 Tee Shots.
Failure to meet this requirement with a result of a deduction of 2 Stableford Points per miss drive from the Team’s Total Points.
Team Scoring:
Mixed Stableford (Net)
Convert each player’s score to Stableford NET points, take the best 2 points per hole.
Handicap Adjustment:
Tournament handicap (THCP) is usually 70% of player’s Playing handicap (PHCP)!
Max handicap limit for Men is 36 & for Ladies 42.
Pace of Play:
- Quicker than full individual play.
- Keeps all amateurs engaged.
- Allows the pro to coach and enjoy the round without dominating the team score.
