President Cup 2025

DESCRIPTION AND RESOURCES

The President’s Cup is a club tournament, typically organized by the Club President. It is a way for the Club President to engage with members and promote club unity.

Playing Format: Stableford (NET) Handicap will be reduced by 40%proposed by R&A handicap general ruling.

Handicap general ruling: R&A allows the Committee to reduce the handicap allowance because the format already limits players’ equipment and scoring potential.

Most clubs therefore apply:

50%–60% of Course Handicap

which is considered fair and within the Committee’s rights under WHS Rule 5.2 and Appendix C.

Notes:

• Putter counts as one of the three clubs.
• Play the ball as it lies.
• Rounds are not acceptable for handicap record purposes under WHS Rule 2.1.
• The emphasis of this event is creativity, course management, and fun!
